With great sadness and profound respect, we note the passing of Willie Colòn, a giant of Latin music and an architect of the genre known around the world as salsa.
Over the years, Afropop Worldwide has been priveleged to showcase the music and wisdom of this towering artist, particularly through the superb reporting by our colleague and producer Ned Sublette.
